LIE 1. Sata is Sick FACT 1.Sata has one of the best medical history amongst all his political opponents. He has only been hosipitalised about once in the last 10 to 15 years. One morning early 2008, Sata woke up feeling somewhat weak . Doctors later diagonised a minor blokage in one of his veins. Within few hours the late President Mwanasawa ordered his evacuation to a hosipital in South Africa. Upon arrival in South Africa, he underwent some advanced medical procedure where a a form of thread was inserted via his thigh to clear up the blood flow in that particular vein. The whole procedure took about 20 minutes and Sata was fully concious and chatting with the doctor throughout the process. Within an hour of the procedure Sata was on the phone with family members and close associates. As a result of the swift procedure, Sata's heart was not affected in any worrying way and his doctors declared him medically fit and was out of the hospital within a week Nicotine was indentified as the cause of this vein blockage and Sata has since stopped smoking cigerattes totally. On the unfair attack on his health from his opponents, Sata said " ....I’m challenging all the political party presidents that we go and test for three things, HIV, Kaposi Sarcoma and let them examine our hearts,” The Post 10/09/08.
